Cat Del Buono is a New York based filmmaker and photographer. Her documentaries, video installations and photographs have been shown in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Sweden, to name a few. Recently, she was awarded Second Prize at the 13th International Open at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago for her experimental short documentary. This past year, with the help of a NYFA grant, she attended the Juried Artist-in-Residence Program at ArtCenter/South Florida in Miami Beach. She attended the NYU Graduate Film Program with a partial scholarship and received an MFA in Photography, Video, and Related Media at the School of Visual Arts. She was awarded the Thomas Reiss Memorial Award from the SVA Alumni Association for her thesis project, which was also highlighted in the Visual Arts Journal in the fall of 2008.
