As a native Italian, I grew up with an appreciation of art in all aspects.  While traveling extensively abroad, my primary destinations have been and still are the world’s famous museums.  The Van Gogh in Amsterdam, the Brandywine in Pennsylvania, and the Metropolitan in New York City are among my favorites.

My dedicated years as a teacher of romance languages left little time for the actual painting and execution of art.  However, whenever I could, I took art courses at Brooklyn College, Kingsborough CC, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, etc.

After leaving the classroom, I have been totally devoted to painting in water based mediums.  I like to diversify styles and moods instead of sticking to a repeated formula.  Here on the East End, I have studied and learned at various art schools and at notable artists’ studios.  I still continue to stretch and evolve and to explore new artistic expressions.  That makes me, artistically, very eclectic in styles and mediums.

I have exhibited in Brooklyn, Garden City, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, Greenport, and various other art venues here in the East End.  I continue to do so especially at Ashawagh Hall, Southampton Cultural Center, Guild Hall and Greenport.  I have been selected in juried shows at the East End Arts in Riverhead and at the Southampton Cultural Center.

The beauty of the East End, where I reside, and my rich cultural Italian heritage, inspire and move me toward artistic expression.

I feel that I have come full circle: born on the Adriatic Sea and returning to the sea out here.
